Our Postpartum Doula Services
Personalized postpartum support tailored to your journey.

Postpartum Doula Services
The postpartum period can be a challenging and overwhelming time for new parents. It is normal to feel anxious, exhausted, and uncertain about how to care for a newborn. As a postpartum doula, I offer non-judgemental, evidence-based support that can help new parents feel more confident and prepared during this time. Doulas can also help reduce the risk of postpartum depression and anxiety by providing emotional support and resources.
My services include:
Initial Meeting
I like to meet with potential clients to find out if we are a good match for each other. I believe that you should hire a doula that you feel comfortable with and this initial meeting provides an opportunity for you to get to know me better. This meeting is offered free of charge and there is no further obligation to use my services. I generally do initially meetings via zoom. Please call or e-mail me to set up this visit.
Prenatal Contact
I like to meet with postpartum clients once before the birth to discuss your wishes and desires for your postpartum period and your specific needs. This visit is in person and also provides us with an opportunity to get to know each other better. I am also available via call, text or email during normal business hours before the birth to answer questions or to address concerns.
As a postpartum doula, I am trained to offer emotional, practical, and informational support to new parents during the first few weeks or months after their baby is born. I specialize in helping new parents adjust to their new roles and navigate the challenges of the fourth trimester by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to care for their newborn.
Some of the services I provide as a postpartum doula are:
Emotional support: I provide a safe space for parents to share their feelings and concerns about their new role as a parent. I can offer reassurance, guidance, and validation as they navigate this new experience.
Physical support, especially if you had a cesarean or difficult delivery. This includes making sure you are comfortable and hydrated and ideas for healing such as sitz baths.
Promote parent-baby bonding
Help establishing breastfeeding. I have over two decades of experience supporting breastfeeding clients, breastfed my own children, and am a certified lactation education specialist
Infant care education: I provide education and support on topics such as breastfeeding, bottle feeding, sleep (including co-sleeping), diapering, bathing, and soothing techniques.
Baby wearing: I have a number of different carriers and can teach you how to use those and any you have. I wore my own babies and have lots of experience using them
Household assistance: I can assist with light housekeeping, laundry, light meal preparation, and errands to reduce the workload for new parents and allow them to focus on bonding with their baby.
Sibling care
Providing referrals to resources such as parenting classes, lactation consultants, pediatricians, mental health professionals, and support groups
